On Saturday night the Hall hosted a gig by Muker Boy Band which raised £300 to be split between two charities –  Herriot Hospice Homecare and Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team.  It was the first public event to make full use of the new wall lighting in the hall (see below for the hall set up before the gig). Many of the audience commented on how atmospheric and welcoming it made the hall look.

The Muker Ladies Guild will be holding their annual coffee morning in the Muker Public Hall on Easter Monday from 10:00 to 12:00 to raise funds for the Guild and local charities.  There will be the usual refreshments including home made cakes and coffee,  and stalls including a cake stall and white Elephant stall. All very welcome!!

There was a very creative day yesterday in the Hall – a workshop organised by the Old School Gallery in Muker where participants, under the guidance of Shona Brannigan, made fabulous prints of cross sections of wood.  There is currently an exhibition of Shona’s work at the Gallery – more details of this, and of the workshop, at https://theoldschoolmuker.co.uk/2019/04/14/shona-branigan-printing-workshop-the-results

Muker Show will be holding its annual Domino and Whist Drive in Muker Public Hall at 7:30 on Friday 22nd February.  Admission is £4.   Come and have a good evening with supper, good prizes and a raffle while supporting the Show.

Date for your diary!  The annual T’Owd Roy Domino Drive will be held in Muker Public Hall on Friday January 4th 2019 with the usual raffle, supper and excellent prizes.  All proceeds to the Muker Literary Institute.  Something to look forward to in the New Year!
