Muker Public Hall and Literary Institute
At the heart of a Swaledale community
The annual Wine & Supper Party in aid of St Mary’s Church Muker will be held in Muker Public Hall on Friday 31st August, starting at 7.30 pm. The suggested donation for tickets is £7.00 and includes two glasses of wine, supper and entertainment by Muker Silver Band.
There will also be the usual tombola and raffle with many wonderful prizes.
Tickets are available from any Church member or on the door .
Muker Show is just four weeks away – 5th September! If you are thinking of entering anything in the show remember that entries close Wednesday 22nd August!
The Lower room of the Muker Literary Institute is now open every day except Tuesday to the public. Inside you can see an exhibition of old photos of Muker to the sound of Muker Silver Band. Do drop in to have a look – it is free!
On Saturday 9th June, as part of the Muker Old School Gallery Rock Legends exhibition, BAFTA award winner Paul Berriff will be coming to Muker to talk about his life and career as a photographer and filmmaker, a career spanning 50 years from the 1960s to the present day. Muker Silver Band will be giving its annual Easter concert at 3:00pm on Easter Monday outside the Hall or inside the Hall itself if the weather is inclement. Do come and enjoy some Band music from this historic band
